Grapevine

Our magazine is called ‘Grapevine’, it’s published three times a year – March, July and November and sent by post to members.

mag

We hope the magazine reflects the diversity of our membership so enjoy receiving articles from all our members. We try to give useful information to our readership so on the ‘Notebook’ pages you can find information about life, law and living in France. You’ll find items such as the school calendar dates, as well as updates concerning tax laws, social security changes, to what and when you can burn (waste) in your garden !! Everyone with snippets of information can email the editor for these to be included.

On the Community pages you’ll find contact numbers for the Quilting Group, Scouts and Guides and the British Consulate to name a few – but you’ll also find a classified advert section for smaller companies and TWIG members .

Articles included in the magazine are varied. Whenever and where ever we can, we keep the ‘flavour’ of the author. You’ll always find articles about food and eating – either on the ‘Cookery’ page or if someone has submitted a restaurant critique.

We’re lucky to have members who enjoy writing about their lives and experiences – and look forward to reading about exotic holidays, visits to vine yards in France or animal reserves in Africa. We like to include articles about trips organised by TWIG to give you an idea of what to expect when you sign up for the next one !
Your contributions are always welcome and don’t worry if ‘you can’t put it into words’ – the editor can help you put your thoughts onto paper. Whatever your area of interest we’re always happy to hear from you.

The Stop Press – Has a different ‘feel’ from the magazine. It is sent by email to the members to keep you updated – it’ll remind you about future TWIG events and let you know of any important developments.

If you would like to place an advertisement with ‘us’ or impart any news for the Stop Press; if you have some information about an event in your community or something you think others would like to know – then don’t hesitate, you’ll find Julie Stilwell’s contact details in your membership directory or
